History:

Scraps was found freshly hatched in a crate that was left near the back entrance of Safe Harbor Orphan Home - an orphanage nestled in a small desert town near a river that eventually lead to the sea. He lived here throughout his childhood and early teens.

Scraps was liked well enough by the other kids and adults, not including cranky, old man Eustace who never really liked anyone (Scraps would vehemently deny this). Any not so nice eggs that would try to mess with him kept to themselves after he was joined by his group of friends.

He and Tumble ran into each other (quite literally) sometime during these years. What became of that was several months of community service on Scrap’s part to work off what he stole and several years worth of harping for getting himself caught (which wasn’t cool, but he did get a brother out of the whole ordeal, so Scraps guesses it all worked out in the end).

Whenever he wasn’t playing pranks and causing general mischief with his gang, Scraps could be found at the library reading aloud to Tumble and any other listening ears or at the bakery that sat on the corner street helping with mixing batter (aka making a general mess) and swiping the occasional pastry to share when he thought no one’s looking. Sometimes in the summer he’d even play in the nearby river channels.

That was how things were, until Scraps hit his late teens when things began to change. Places he used to frequent were torn down and replaced or left to sit empty. Nearby small streams drying up under the relentless sun. Many mons left, including him and his group who accepted an invitation from one of their friend’s sisters who was a member of a well known gang that resided in a much larger seaport settlement.

It wasn't long after that something really bad happened, which ended with Scraps and Tumble leaving the continent on a ship sailing to Tremel.

Personality:
Brave (+Attack) (-Speed) | Somewhat stubborn (+Sp. Defense)

Scraps is really scrappy. It’s how he got his nickname. Because though he might not seem like or even act like the type, given his small and unthreatening demeanor, he can and will kick butt. Scraps has goals and the determination to see them through. He prefers it that way - having something to work towards. Not having anything like that sends him into drift.

He tries his best to be optimistic and keep spirits up. And when faced with a challenge or obstacle he’s willing to push through it no matter how hard it is or how long it takes. Not even if it scares him. It’s all he knows to do.

Scraps is able to think of ideas and make use of whatever is available to him in a pinch, which makes him useful for getting out of sticky situations.

Speaking of situations, while Scraps does find himself in them more often than not, he doesn’t intentionally seek them out. In fact, he prefers working from the sidelines, away from all the main action. Just take what he can get and leave the squabbling to the bigger fishies.

Despite his fighting type status, Scraps does not like confrontation or physical altercation of any kind. He’d rather leave it as a last resort.

Scraps is more of a follower than a leader. Too much responsibility, he would say, bleh. Though if he thinks he’s making the right call, he will disobey or outright go against orders to do his own thing. This has the potential to go very well or very, very wrong. It certainly has before.

Other:
• Tumble speaks a language that not many can understand. Scraps acts kind of as his translator. He often repeats things that Tumble has said right after he’s said them. He often does it without prompt and without realizing he’s doing it. Tumble doesn’t mind. It’s a habit they’ve picked up since they were kids
• Scraps is slightly smaller than the average height of a Scrafty (3’07)
• Can’t see very well with his right eye
• The dark scales along his belly never really grew in properly. There are patches of them scattered along his body but they aren’t very strong and can be torn off easy. His stomach is kind of sensitive because of this
• Scrap’s shed skin isn’t skin at all. It’s cloth, which means it doesn’t offer the protection a Scrafty’s shed skin does and can rip easy. He made this outfit himself, making it resemble the real thing in hopes of not attracting too much attention
• Using his moves wears Scraps out a lot. They can often cause headaches, dizziness, or soreness

• Collects marbles. Had a decent collection back home, but couldn’t take it with them
