Chlorophyll

Moveset:
Constrict | Normal | Power/10 | Accuracy/100 | PP/35
Tumble channels energy through his feet causing roots to spring up rapidly from the ground
(Note: Roots aren’t very strong + easy to break out of. Move is used more to trip, hinder, and distract rather than prevent target from moving. Tumble must be in contact with ground for move to work)
Vine Whip | Grass | Power/45 | Accuracy/100 | PP/25
Tumble extends one (or more) of his vines and cracks it whip-like
(Note: This move is one Tumble uses the most, mostly casually. Can only extend six vines at once and only for a certain length. There isn’t a limit to just how far he can extend, but the further he stretches them the more he loses control of the vine)
Sleep Powder | Grass | Power/- | Accuracy/75 | PP/15
Tumble releases a powder-like substance that can almost immediately sends the target to sleep
(Note: Those with Insomnia or Vital Spirit or behind a substitute can’t be put to sleep. Move works most effectively when held near a nose or mouth (aka whacking them in the face with a vine covered in powder). This way it’s also less likely to unintentionally knock out anyone else nearby if he were to just.. sneeze it out)
Mega Drain | Grass | Power/40 | Accuracy/100 | PP/15
Millions of microscopic, needle-like fibers protrude from Tumble's vines. When latched onto the target they gradually drain them of health to restore Tumble’s own
(Note: If used on mon with Liquid Ooze ability user looses hp instead. Move is painless, but draining too much too quickly can cause the target to feel sick or lightheaded afterwards)

History:
Tumble hatched beneath the shade of a great tree, surrounded by green. He was raised wild, in groups of nomadic Tangela whose numbers mingled and changed on a whim whenever groups of them would cross paths. Tumble was a part of this shuffle, never growing attached to one individual or group, never staying in one place for very long.

One day, a train of merchant caravans passed along a trail that cut through their forest. The merchants set up to rest for the night near where Tumble’s group were staying. Curious, Tumble wanted to get a closer look, so he did. He got so close he scared some of them half to death with his sudden appearance from the darkness.

Luckily, they were a nice lot who got a good laugh from the whole thing and a new story to tell around. Tumble, on the other hand, was offered what was left of their dinner. It was warm and tasted unlike anything he had ever tried before, so much different from the plants and berries his group would usually eat. Tumble was fascinated and when they set off at dawn Tumble left with them, caught up as he always was in the chaos. Many of the merchants were unaware that they had picked up a hitchhiker.

Eventually, hidden away between several crates and fabrics, Tumble would find himself in a place he has never been before. The sun sitting high in the sky was blinding and the heat it casted onto the hard ground was almost unbearable. Someone yelled something, startling him badly and without thinking, Tumble ran. That was when he bodily slammed right into a little Scraggy that was running in the opposite direction.

The next thing Tumble knew he was being brought past an old set of doors and deposited in front of an old looking Ninetails. Only after scolding and sending away the sulking Scraggy, did she notice the out of place Tangela sitting quietly on the floor, staring right back at her.

Personality:
Sassy (+Sp. Defense) (-Speed) | Often dozes off (HP)

More than once, Tumble has been described as a carefree spirit. He’s completely fine with just doing whatever. Often going wherever the wind takes him. He is very receptive to change.

He usually keeps a lot of stuff on him, hidden beneath his vines, and with plenty of arms to hold that stuff Tumble basically acts as a walking storage space. Doesn’t really take care of any of the things he picks up and often looses them the same day he “acquired” them. It doesn’t bother him though, to misplace something. He does it intentionally, just setting something down and walking away if not outright dropping it to grab something else.

Tumble doesn’t get attached easily (probably a result of his upbringing). Not to things or places or people. Scraps is an exception though. Where Scraps is you can usually find Tumble (and vice versa).

Somewhat talkative, though usually only when Scraps is present. He’ll get annoyed if he is asked to repeat himself multiple times or if he tries to act out something to no avail.

Very affectionate with those he’s close to. Will wrap himself around or hang off them by his vines. He doesn’t like to stray far from the group (the group mainly being just Scraps). If he wants to go somewhere he will typically just drag you along with him.

*Other:
• Tumble doesn’t talk. Or he can, but it’s in a language very few can understand
•Scraps is kinda like his translator. He often repeats things that Tumble says. He often does it without prompt and without realizing he’s doing it. Tumble doesn’t mind. It’s a habit they’ve picked up since they were kids
• When Tumble speaks it sounds almost like he’s speaking underwater and from far away and like he’s whispering into your ear all at once. But if you listen close enough you could almost pick up words you understood. The effect is very disconcerting
• Can usually be seen carried on Scrap’s back

Trivia:
• “Tumbleweed” is a nickname
• Tumble speaks in a language that isn’t very well known as it is spoken almost exclusively by members of the Tangela line. It is called “Tangled Speak”, which is more movements and projected intention than actual words. This language, like any other, is possible to learn given time

• Has a bad habit of just taking stuff without asking and getting too close (no concept personal space)

• Hugging Tumble is like hugging one of those weirdly shaped pillows. So it’s any wonder Scraps does it so much
• Likes: rain, being carried around, sunbathing, bitter foods
• Dislikes: bugs, windy weather, loud noises, sweets

Cameos: Feel free to use this character if you’d like. No need to ask if they’re just gonna be standing around, but make sure to give me a heads up if they have a speaking roll or if you want to use them in a fight just so I can give an okay or not
