it almost looks too dark to be blood...
it's too berry-coloured, IMO. Blood is more of a bright red, or a deep rose colour depending on where it's coming from.
just my opinion, though, don't take anything by it.

Nope I agree with you. This particular batch was designed to be used on costumes so it needs to be darker because other wise it looks really washed out when you put it on fabric. Plus i have to account for the stage lights factor which also wash it out. If I was making this for a photography session it would be lighter. But thank you for your comments and opinions.
