Nice work on that. This part of story is very familiar in all various kinds of stories from Novels and TV series, for example a person who explores the deep forest or caves which leads to an undiscovered places and there you find something almost out of this world it can be a Historic place or Galactic Gate (where you can travel in time or space) which leads to another world or anything that is you-never-seen-in-life!

When you put it like that, it reminds me of The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Wow! I used to have dreams of Ruins and Unexplored places and I was shifted to another world through Stargate. Very coincidence. ^_^

Aha!! Now it gets even MORE interesting!!
This is going to be so much fun to read!! Not that it hasn't!!
But now it will be even moreso!!
Haha.. y'know that gate reminds me of one of my stories I'm writing.. ruins in the forest, broken tiles and pillars.. an arch.. except there are only four pillars, my arch is more.. erm.. I dunno the word... well it reaches a similar height I guess yet it is very wide, and it leads to the lost city of Atlantis!!
The main character, Roxas, finds it in an uncharted part of the Waipoua Forest, and a reaction to a medallion he found transforms him into a dragon... although at first he thinks it is a dream..
Maybe I should be careful about how much info I spill.. at least not until I get my first novel published!!
Heeeey... if I got it published would ya read it?

Ah, I really like these ruins. They're pretty and yet still eerie, too.
And somehow they remind me a teensy bit of the Paradise Estate...*starts crackpot speculation*

Actually, it's pretty common for an artist's style to change with time, and most of the time they don't even notice that it happens until they look back later. Thing is, the gradual change is really obvious with comics because the artist is drawing the same characters over and over. (Seriously, look at just about any webcomic, and they'll all have some differences between the first page and the latest--some of them have a LOT of difference. It's madness.)
