Description

Here is a tribute to one of my personal favorite Undertale AUs, Handplates by zarla . It is one of the few out there that extrapolates on the current storyline we know, taking a look into how the skeleton brothers possibly could have come to be. The storytelling isn't always linear, much like how forgotten memories are: you only remember bits and pieces at a time, but ultimately they come together into a story. The character's personalities are superb and the question of ethics and morality they constantly raise, intentional or not, come to haunt you and make you think. What is right? What is wrong? It's difficult to tell, and you can't help but root for everyone though they are at odds.

It has been a great inspiration for me so far, just as thrilling and interesting as the original story itself. Though I seldom comment on it, seeing a new page or doodle always brightens my day and I'm always eager to see what's next ^^

This image was inspired from when the void creature had told Gaster that while he was interested in the future, the future had little interest in him. How could it when his fate became completely irrelevant by ceasing to exist altogether? All the actions and influences he'd made, all the difficult choices he pushed through and forced others to endure, ended up not mattering at all. Brings up a lot of personal existential questions, no? Do the things we do matter? Even when we're bound to others by fate, will our presence actually make a difference in the end? We like to tell ourselves 'Yes', but is this truly the case...?
