Description Out of request, I posted "Monster Toothache" with and without texture...I hope this feeds you curiosity~ I hope to actually make a somewhat useful tutorial someday....someday....!

It's nice a huge to get a close look as well~ *eeeeeeekkk!*

I kind of prefer the textured one... gives it a bit of a more analogue feeling!

it's good to compare~! i am more fond of the texture....but that's because i long for traditional mediums as well~

oh, i really fancy them both! the subtle differences in color and detail are fascinating. i think the watercolour effect of the texture is neat! it is such a lovely illustration~

I like both, for different reasons. I'm a lover of detail, and I think that the texture adds without being a distraction. But since texture can easily overpower, I appreciate the way this is done.

Next to the original the flattened texture looks flat.

I don't think I can ever use a texture overlay in good conscience unless I warp and skew it a bunch of different ways first, to infer a following of form.
