And Ringtail and Blowhole and Kowalski and Rico and Private (hell even Mort)
yeah I knew he was not watching videos of cute kittens as Private does.
i support gay couples but considering my psychology classes of sexuality i doubt homosexual relationships works in the way as shown in the fandoms.

Homosexuality is common in animals of all species Especially birds. Do I believe any of the PoM characters are actually gay? No. They sadly live in a world where gay doesn't even exist.
Β But that is what fandoms are for; to hang out with other weirdos like yourself who like to pretend their dream pairings could actually happen, regardless of how improbable they may be.

Yes i know the homosexuality is common in the animals and like you said especially in birds, but what about cannibalism, suicide, incest, parricide, infanticide, rape and necrophilia? these things are common in the all animal kingdom too, for example, the Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) Although this bird is known for his "rape-intent flights" to other individuals of the same sex (only males), also known for even if they victims fall and die, they will continue copulating with their corpses, i dont saying homosexuality is a bad thing, is the overrated cliche that bothers me that if all the male characters of a program, video game, movie, etc should be gay for as if they were just a piece of meat that serves to satisfy the fetishes and fantasies of fans (especially fangirls) or when some fans says male characters should be gay because there are no females or just only a few and should be pairing with their friends or even with their own blood (example to Teenage Mutant Turtles incest fanart and fanfiction).
This is just my own personal opinion

Except it's not fair to say all fans only ship homosexual pairings because of fetishes. In fact, it isn't fair to treat homosexuality as a fetish at all, while treating heterosexuality as a norm. Female characters get the treatment of being shipped with every male character on the show-- Marlene being one of them, as I've seen people ship her with Skipper, to Julien, to everybody inbetween. THAT, in itself, is cliched. Thing is, it seems natural that the same would happen with male characters. The show just happens to have more male characters than anything else. So, mathematically speaking, let's talk about all the combos.
We'll stick to Marlene, the penguins and the lemurs for this example. Otherwise we'll be here all day.
Marlene: M/J, M/Mo, M/Ma, M/S, M/P, M/K, M/R - 7
Julien: J/Mo, J/Ma, J/S, J/P, J/K, J/R- 6
Mort: Mo/Ma, Mo/S, Mo/P, Mo/K, Mo/R- 5
Maurice: Ma/S, Ma/P, Ma/K, Ma/R- 4
Skipper: S/P, S/K, S/R-3
Private/K, P/R- 2
Kowalski: K/R - 1
Rico: 0
That makes 28 possible pairings. 7 of those pairings are straight. That gives the pairings a 7:28 ratio of them being straight. But wait, that can be simplified! That makes it a 1:4 chance of the pairings being straight. Which leaves 3/4ths of the pairings gay. This is, of course, without even considering things like OT3s. Or other polygamous relationships.
Point being, mathematically speaking, there is bound to be people that ship homosexual pairings.Β
However, I would also like to get back to the whole "homosexuality isn't a fetish" bit. Some people, including myself, identify as queer and actually use these characters as ways of expressing their on life. How they fit in, their relationships, and so on. It's not fair to call that fetishistic, when the Β media takes advantage of heterosexuality all the time.Β
Further more, while I see the point you are trying to make on the animal kingdom, I don't think you should have clumped that with homosexuality. It gives off VERY unwanted implications of counting homosexuality as something negative like screwing a dead body or rape. And not only that, but HUMANS do these things as well. if higher thinking animals like humans are still capable of it, how can you expect other animals to be any different? There will always be groups like that.Β
Still not cool to put gays in that category though. Animal kingdom or otherwise.Β
When it comes down to it...fan interpretations isn't set in stone. It's just an opinion, and nobody says anyone has to agree. Don't like? Don't look. It's really as simple as that.Β And that goes for all pairings. For everything fandom related, really. when it comes down to it...we're all just a bunch of dorks behind a computer screen, weirdly obsessed with funny talking animals. Β

What is not supposed to all humans we also belong to the animal kingdom?Β we dont only share the bad characteristics with the animals, we have good things in common too (like affect, protection, happyness, joyness, tenderness, the need love of somebody whatever their gender and much more good things than the bad things). I was trying to explain is that although we share these characteristics (goods and bads) does not mean that nature, people, government, society, or even the gods forced us to be who we are, if somebody wants to be gay or straight is ok if them really wanted it and as long both dont hurts themselves or other people. and about that cliche of the females should be paired strictly with the males characters personally i would preffer nothing of pairings although straights, bi, or gay, i preffer more all the characters should be asexuals or with none sexual or romanticaly interest (especially if is a kids show) and so there will be no more fights between fans because it would be more focused on what the program is about, and that is to make us laugh and also fun to have some nice time like you said with funny talking animals

Ah, I see where you are coming from now. I have seen a few people get into fights over simple things like pairings-- which is very stupid, if you ask me. I get not liking a pairing-- there are many i absolutely can't STAND-- but that should never escalate into a fight. I associate with people who's pairings even conflict with my NOTPs, but you know what? ...i still enjoy talking to them. Why? Because fans don't have to agree on everything in order to like talking about the show and the characters. Because their happiness doesn't conflict or take away from my own.Β And that's how it should be with everybody. If somebody is personally offended by another's shipping--or even non-shipping-- preferences, that's when they should take a step back and take a breath.Β
