No one heard your screams of agony, Buddy. Maybe that's for the best...Being liquidated musta hurt like hell =/ And I'm sure he screamed which meant that stuff flooded his insides and ate him from the inside out, too. Buuh... I don't like to think about it. Then why did I draw a picture of it?... Shut up. I hate logic... (LOL Cartoon angst)
Also I wish the liquid hadn't been yellow. It looks like he's drowning in pee.
Over all not exactly the image I had in my mind, buuut close enough so I feel it's okay to cross this idea off my 'to do' list.

I must admit, the Darkwing Duck series did have some rather graphic and disturbing undertones and implications that I never noticed when I was younger, but now that I'm older I find myself looking back and saying, "Oh, Shit! That's fucked up!"

Yeah, I imagine that whole process was at least a little painful. This pic gives me an idea for a story. Once I get permission from a certain author to use their character, I might start uploading art of the concept I have in my head. Thanks for the inspiration! Now, off to catch that plot bunny...

I have watched that episode for first time a couple of days ago, and for a "kids" cartoon it was so cruel I was horrified!
Darkwing only made it even worse, he said it was "easy this way" or something like that, and later he said to Liqui that he "tried to help" ... That was so sad!

Gosh, what I think I like about this the almost- in weird fangirl sense of empathy and schadenfreude- is the water welling up in his throat. There's something very primally horrific about it...
It's really a lovely piece of a cartoon dog be liquidifed in a vat of acid. (*sigh* There's no way to make that statement sound good, is there?)

I have a hard time saying I like this in the sense that it's a picture of someone burning from the inside out in a vat of acid, but I really do like this piece. The pain Bud's going through while he transforms is really well portrayed and I love the bits of blue showing underneath his skin.
Way to show the darkside of cartoons. I always thought it was kind of cold when DW saw him dissolve in the vat and then never told anyone about it.

I'm with Mysticlris. Parts of me doesn't like this picture cause it is someone being literally eaten way from the inside out by acid but at the same time I do like it cause you can practically hear his screams and also the whole transformation thing being that it hurt so bad.
In away this also kinda tells alittle bit about life. One must go through some painful (spiritually and sometimes physically) experiences in order to change and transform themselves.

It may be pretty inappropriate to say that about the subject of the picture, but this piece is beautiful.
I guess all of us have spent one or two thoughts on Bud's transformation that didn't bother us for too long. But to see it drawn is pretty disturbing. And yet awesome.

Just...wow. This, by far, is the best Bud Flood/Liquidator picture I've seen, both in presentation and theme. When I first say it in my stack, I was like "Daaammmnnn".
...Can't really express how awesome this is, hands down. You did a fantastic job: the pose and is expression is perfect, the coloring is great and the background as simple as it may seem, works complete wonders for the picture.
To say this wasn't the image you had in mind, you did a hell of a job on it.

Dude, go look at all the Bud Flood pictures. Seriously. Sure, some look good artistically, but sometimes, what a pictures says the expression and emotion it tells it what really makes the picture pop: your picture has it in spades. That's why I honestly think it's the best.

I keep getting drawn back to this. Man, you did such a good job with it. There's an intensity here, it's almost unexpected.
You conveyed this very well - it looks so painful, you did an amazing job of that. His posture, the flaking away of his clothes, flesh... I love this. Even if I weren't the huge fan of Bud that I am, I think I'd still grasp how powerful this is.
Indeed, during the show it never fails to get me that Darkwing freakin left him there to die xD I must say, if any of the villians had a bone to pick with DWD and a perfectly reasonable desire to kill him, Liquidator has it. I'm really not sure why he doesn't just boil DW alive from the insides :/ Being a kids show and all, I can see why, obviously, but I almost think they gave Liquidator TOO good of a reason to be a villain.
Of course, I'm sure Bushroot is the only reason Liquidator hasn't taken over the planet xD They're to busy... NOT having loads of gay sex to do all that 8D
