Description Aurora Rising

I'm still here! haha...

Very inspired by Blade Runner, although not the same feel. Always wanted to do a huge sci fi city scape, and I had alot of fun with it. The image was made for an independent study for my English class.
Cinema 4D, Vue, Photoshop and Wacom Tablet.

I included a pretty large file for download, so if you want to use it as a wallpaper feel free!

Well good. =] With that being said, it certainly doesn't look like you just copied Coruscant or Blade Runner. It sort of has its own unique culture and architecture. Again, great job.

Yes, for the lights and windows on the buildings, you used photoshop right? If you did use photoshop for those, could you explain your process?

Simply put, this is amazing. Love all the details and the whole 'feel' of the piece. The Blade Runner influence is felt, but you make it your own. Just awesome work. I'd love to post it to my website with a link back here or your website/blog. Let me know...

Thank you! I modeled the buildings and ships in C4D, then imported into vue for the atmosphere and lighting.

Oh, I didn't know Vue was good for lighting too. I just used it to do natural landscapes, I'm still newbie to 3D apps ^^ Thanks for the reply!
