Description
Aurora RisingI'm still here! haha...
Very inspired by Blade Runner, although not the same feel. Always wanted to do a huge sci fi city scape, and I had alot of fun with it. The image was made for an independent study for my English class.
Cinema 4D, Vue, Photoshop and Wacom Tablet.
I included a pretty large file for download, so if you want to use it as a wallpaper feel free!
EDIT- Woo! A DD, im honored! Thanks so much Cymae and Samuel Nordius!!!

I think this is excellent. It's grim and cyberpunk looking but it also has so many shades of light and color in it.

I like the detail. It is not the image I would have in my head if I wanted to make such a picture, but it is really nice.

So C4D is actually can handle all of the artistic model at all without any problem, but seems like Autodesk is still own the most of people in this time.
In my opinion I think Modo and C4D is good at render and scene setup also dust system compare to Autodesk, and Zbrush is the best sculpt tool(at least in ZB 4R7 cause some of new feature is really powerful), I start 3D in this years, so I don't know what happen and what people are thinking in the past of few year, but I think this is must be some specific reason makes Autodesk so big and famous. After a couple of showcase battle between Autodesk & Modo & C4D, I find out Maya/3ds is suck at rendering, looks terrible.
Anyway, I think this piece is a great city scene, I would like to see more!Β

This actually isnt rendered in C4D- its rendered in Vue which I love for 3D environments. I would never render in C4D normally because its not as good a render for environment scenes, at least in my experience. I modeled everything in C4D and then exported it to Vue to render.

Thank you for point me out! I did not know about that! It helps a lot. So in fact Vue is actually really good at this sort of feature?! Really nice result indeed.
