-This fact does apply in my AU's Freddy's as well, even if it is original design! The doors still do close with a press of a button which sucks up power, but it's not a lot. If a criminal would come into the Pizzeria, Jeremy could close the doors at 12am and the power wouldn't run out until 8am! Of course...when an unknown guard is in the house, the animatronics will make sure there is only so much power they can use by messing with the generator.
-Honestly, this is a question that’s VERY difficult to answer because…I’m not Scott, I didn’t create FNAF and I didn’t come up with the mechanic of Foxy’s door-banging sucking up power. So…enjoy my version, because I don’t think there is any other logical way to explain it. Kinda like how there's no logical way to explain why the vents are so big animatronics can fit in there, or how toddlers can break apart an animatronic fox, or why the Sister Location crew's faces can open up. :T
