Description
Plain though this photograph may be, it is my first submission from a negative scan of 35mm film. Unlike most people, I have not progressed from film to digital; I have gone in the opposite direction (not counting the thousands of holiday snap-shots I took at the age of nine). Thus, I still have much to learn about using film. I find lighting issues, in particular, a lot more vital than in digital photography. I have learnt that whilst the photo may look great through the viewfinder, I have the graininess of the film to think about, and so I have to think more about shutter speed and aperture than it may initially appear. In submitting this, it is hoped that some element of progress may be observed in a few months or years from now

Film definately makes you think more before taking the shot. Probably is the best way to learn the understand exposure etc...
Never done much film myself, maybe should have...

although i generally don't do animal shots, this is really pleasant. it reminds me of a sweet greetings card or something. it's a very gentle image and the soft, muted colours are fantastic, working well with it.

They've run into a big obstacle I think...
Really like how the depth of field works... I can almost see individual hair on them...
