Description
Skyfire and Starscream. If you haven't seen this picture before, this is a re-work to the previous submit of [link] Done with inspiration from story of 'Redemption' which can be found at [link] .
Since I was happy with my additives (in some cases that can be quite rare) I chose to re-submit this one instead of replacing the previous one. Enjoy.
Skyfire looks a bit strange... and I know those wings are too big, but now I have some better reference to look at next time I draw the guy

Oh this is so heart wrenching!!! It really shows the vulnerable side of Starscream too, which makes me deliriously happy. You rock!!!!!!

Oh, wow, this is done beautifully! The "desaturated" look works well with the scene, and I gotta admire how you did the optic glow.

Thanks. I was just messing with something until I got something I was mostly happy with.

It's so pretty in a heartbreaking sort of way.
And I have to thank you for jump-starting my interest in this continuity again. I kind of burned out writing Redemption and didn't want to touch it, but now....

Iβm telling you, you made my day thatβs for sure. I really wanted to see some follow ups on that story (and Iβm sure Iβm not the only one). It is nice to see some things come to a close, but first and foremost because you make it interesting and you give the characters a lot more life and believability. So if I had any part in thatβ¦then HUZZAH! LOL. Truly, itβs nice to make others happy in some form or another. Iβd be more than happy to make some more drawing attempts if youβd ever like some illustrations for that story. If I get hit by the inspiration train is fun to keep on going.

Heh. No, you're certainly not the only one who wants follow-ups. Mostly, people wanted to see resolution with the Jazz arc of the story, which is one end that we more or less deliberately left dangling. We do have plans for a resolution of that, but it won't come for a little while yet. So, in that chapter of the little follow-up story, Jazz will piece some things together, methinks, but there won't be full resolution. Y'all will just have to wait for that.
And yes, you did indeed have a part in the reawakening of my interest in this continuity. And if you would like to do more illustrations, please do feel free. Totally. There are actually four "official" illustrations that we commissioned from for the story. They can be found within the HTML version on my site, in the following chapters: here , here , here , and here . But there are still whole huge stretches of the story that could be illustrated if industrious persons wanted to take a stab at it.
I love it when people draw stuff based on what I've written. It's like artistic cross-pollination, I guess you might say, and it's very cool.

I'd love to take on a few more sketches. I do it for fun Anything in particular you wanted to see? It'd give me a good excuse to get back into the habbit of drawing for a purpose, and I'm sure it'd be a drawing challenge. I have seen those few pieces that were commissioned and they're quite nice. If I ever gain the self confidence to do commissions one day... : le sigh : .

If I could, I would draw a picture of Cliffjumper in the beginning. I've always had a very clear image in my head of his pose before he falls backward, and it won't leave me for some reason. But that's just me, mostly because Cliffjumper amuses the heck outta me for reasons I can't entirely explain. Probably it's because he picks on Mirage who is...uh...let's just say he's not my favorite character.
Maybe a lurking-in-corridors-trying-to-be-inconspicuous Thundercracker would be fun? Or Thundercracker with Starscream pinned against the wall by his throat? I was always curious as to whether or not that image would actually work, given TF anatomy... I don't always think about that sort of thing when I'm writing, so a pic attempt might actually answer that burning question once and for all.
Hmmmm...Apparently I have Thundercracker on the brain. Should probably do something with that... It's probably because I've been messing with an icon for him, at 's request...
Anyway, whatever you'd like to take a shot at, I'll be more than happy to see the results. No pressure, though.
Only if you're bored and feel like doodling.

Iβd love to take a stab at them, not out of boredom thoughβ¦ that gets me in BAD habbits I personally am having a lot of fun trying to draw Seekers right nowβ¦ so doing Thundercracker or any one of his wingmates would be fun. Even Cliffjumper sounds fun. Hey, if you ever compile enough artwork, you should stick links in the appropriate spots in your story. Thatβd be kind of cool
So Iβll start some drawings again (itβll pull me away from playing the SIMS all night). As for anatomy, Iβm sure the being held by the throat would work just fine, they do have necks at least. Might not be able to choke themβ¦but you can make them uncomfortable, or in this case demonstrate some determination and authority. So weβll see what I can come up withβ¦Iβm sure Iβll have fun with it.

YAY!
I look forward to seeing the results. Don't feel like you have to take my suggestions, though. If you feel like doing something else, go for it.
And yeah, I have vague plans to assemble some kind of gallery of the art that people have done based on or inspired by various bits of the story. Someone did a really cute one of Optimus glaring at his "Game Over" computer screen...

I know I don't have to take the suggestions, I think they are up my alley though. I do like to try to strike an emotional note when I can But I'm looking forward to seeing what I come up with too. LOL. Whats in the head, and whats on the paper sometimes actually work in harmony.

Oh, this is really beautiful ^^ It encaptures extremely well Skyfire's desolate determination of those certain scenes in Redemption and the heartbreaking desperation and fear that tinged all their dealings right up until the very end of the story.
On a technical note, I'd really like it if Skyfire's hands were a little more articulated, especially the thumb. I recognise hands aren't easy (and you've done them reasonably well nonetheless) but they have a grace that I think this picture would really benefit from, especially since they're in the foreground.
Beautiful, beautiful work. <3

Thanks so much for the comment and suggestion on the hands. I know there are still things I'd like to tweak. Hands are killer for me thats for sure, but I'll see what I can do on them It'll be a challenge nonetheless. I will probably replace this picture if I get it done instead of a 3rd upload. Again, thanks.
