A piece commissioned by someone as a gift to a close friend. I wish I was better at drawing anthropomorphic creatures and backgrounds.Amara (the dragon-girl) and Beta (the robot-boy) (c) Ben Wiser.

It's nice! It seems more volumetric than usual...That could be because of your interesting perspective. I like that little microscope on the table too, and all the charts with the thumbtacks in them.
The guy's legs are looking a bit flat...more shadows around those would help. Darker shading, too. Less highlights might help as well.
So you're not able to draw anthropomorphic backgrounds? Neither can I!...Oh wait, I don't think that's exactly what you meant

I need to try harder to work more interesting perspective into my pieces. Like, I have to think to add it before I start sketching, and sometimes I forget! ><; Thank you. I love doing little details, lol.
