Description
Commissions. Not much to say other than I'm getting more practice with marker and colored pencil, and I'm developing a style I'm comfortable with. There are facial problems that I'm learning to fix as well - feel free to give me some pointers.Percy (c) Diana

I agree with the other comments - the eyes being too high are the only thing a little off. Otherwise, awesome! <3 Personally, I'm really happy with it - you really do handle markers beautifully, the colouring is outstanding.

Oh and still trying to find a time to call you. Damn... stress is piling up for me too. At first I just had 5 big tests to worry about (the whole SAT, SAT II, AP thing...) but now I have to fill an entire sketchbook before March 18 for the Governor School interview... meh heh...
Well, in case I don't get a chance to call you anytime soon, here's the scoop: my mom decided not to take me to China. It was a business trip and it became urgent so she couldn't postpone it until Spring Break. So yep, I'm free Spring Break (the first week of April) and I'm sure Weiling is too. If that's good with you, we can get together then. ^^ and yesh, I have your pic done too. Hope ye likes~! <3

Don't stress too much about tests- that's all they are, yakknow? Paper. the gov shcool thinkg's a lot more valuable in terms of transcript.
a full sketchbook? WHoa, they didn't make me do that when I applied for gov school I bombed the interview stage, though, haha - not enough real art, just fantasy stuff. btw, I might be an RA for the IT gov school, so you should apply to that one, huuhuu! (I got waitlisted at arts *GONK!*)

*sob* yes, it's horrible. Actually it's not required but Weiling forced me into it when she said she spent the 2 weeks before the interview filling an entire sketchbook... and seeing as how she got in, I though I might as well. And yeah, my sketchbook has too much anime as of now. Don't think that'll fly so I've been forcing myself to do realism. God, it sucks. Realism makes drones out of your braincells... seriously.

oh and I think it's too late to apply to any of the other gov schools so that's why I'm working my butt off trying to get into arts =__=;; and as a result, my social life has gone down the drain...

RA = residential assistent. IT = governor's school for information technology, which i went to back in the day (HOMG I'M OLD).
BRing your sketchbook wherever you go - makes things easier.

Nice job, i wish i could work with markers so well.
The only real problem i see is that the eyes are placed too high up on their heads. Proportionally, the space between the bottom of the head (chin) and the eye should be the same distance as the space between the top of the head to the eye (the eyes are in the middle of the head). Given, this may be different for different people, not everyone is proportional, but try it on yourself-you'll see!
My favorite part about this is actually the nose on the guy on the right, i just think it is incredible...the shading and shape are perfect.

okay! I think it's cuz one of my habits is to draw the skullshape, then i draw the face too small, so i shrink the skull XD; i'll rtry not to do that next time.

Mmm, beautiful coloring! Your faces certainly look a lot rounder than they used to, as I see a lot of depth in the right guy's face especially.
I'm not sure if this is a stylistic thing or not, but their noses seem long. Typical face canon is the eyes halfway between the chin and the forehead, with a nose halfway between the eyes and the chin, and a mouth halfway between the nose and the chin.
However, I do think the long noses work on their own, because they're rather elegant.
The necks are a little strange; I feel like the one on the left guy could use a little more curvature (especially where it's attached to the back of his head.) They way the guy on the right is holding his head would definitely give him a double-chin, even though he seems pretty skinny.
Other than that, I love your markers! It's great how you kept your strokes loose and textured and free, and I love the detail in their ears. So many people skip out on the ears but they can be such beautiful things when they're drawn like this!

Lol. The long noses are semi-stylistic - like, i like them (IRL, too, huuhuu), but I'm always afraid that in my art, I go overboard or something (because I like my art close to realistic) and it looks weird.
Okay. necks are fun, i'll look towards working on that.

Percy's eyes look slightly lopsided though(his left eye slightly lower than his right). The other guy's chin looks slightly flat to me, I feel like if you had extended the shading from under the lip a little further down it would've gotton rid of that problem. The only other thing that sticks out to me is that both men's eyebrows are extremely manicured looking. Most men have bushier eyebrows, and while I think it works in Percy's favor I don't think it fits the other guy.
Overall, I think it looks really good and I'm digging the colors and shading you used in the face. I also really like the movement in Percy's hair. :] Top notch.

okay, thanks! You're right about that chin thing. I'll try to fix that next time... more masculine guys aren't really my forte, lol. Guh, lopsided eyes, taht's a prollem that'shard to fix, haha.
