I took this photo of Squirtle today... and I noticed how beautiful her eyes are! *___*They have the most gorgeous turquoise/blue ring, surrounded by flecks of gold and blacks. (Download to view the full-sized closeup!!)
Squirtle is a very mild-mannered girl, she's very sociable and easy-going.... which makes taking these close-up shots very easy. XD She was busy basking/sleeping when I came in, lifted up the hood of her turtle topper basking area, and shoved a camera in her face.
Squirtle is a Red Eared Slider from Nagasaki, Japan. I won her in a festival game at the Nagasaki Kunchi festival.
