which looks similar to the picture you got here

Lovely. Yeah, the perspective feels strange somehow because the lava spring is circular

this looks very good. I designed a dungeon crawler with random-ly generated levels that could use this art perfectly. It was for a contest so I had little to no time; I had to just google for sprites to rework them.

lovely píxel art.

How is this isometric?

vampiressae In reply to GohanLuvVidel [2014-05-13 05:47:58 +0000 UTC]

Your lines are parallel to each other. In perspective projection lines aren't parallel, so if they're long enough, they cross each other in a point (horizon).

Hmm, I'm not sure this piece is an iso. None of the lines go at 45 degree angles. For example, none of the walls look like this upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia…

This is "topdown" not isometric.

vampiressae In reply to skittlefuck [2014-05-16 17:31:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, "topdown" may be a better description. Maybe I was confused by the use of "isometric in 3d software (unity, 3ds max), where isometric cameras can have any angle: 45, (in this case) 90 or even weirder ones (especially in hex tile systems) until all angles are the same, a.k.a. there is no perspective effect, better put, the perspective is flat.

Ok. Thanks for the info

I'm not the original artist, though.
