Also from school, this time from the Drawing 2 class (five years ago this time). Brief on this was "draw a surreal eye". The scales, of which I can't even begin to count the number of, took FOREVER, because I decided to be crazy and shade EACH INDIVIDUAL SCALE *dies* After that, I went "Hmmmm, let's just finish this thing" and that's why the eyelashes are so disproportional (also, the paper was really big and at that point in my drawing 'career' I hates drawing so big). I ended up submitting it to the Scholastics art competition and it won a Silver Key at the regional level, yay! The title was simply "Sssssss!"Related content

We just had to draw an eye with some sort of surrealism. Some people shattered the iris and had the pieces falling into the abyss, other turned it sideways and grew a tree out of it, and I decided to have the coiled snake form the iris/pupil pattern

Wow thats awesome, i do love the shading--it paid off lol. Yeah the only thing I was going to point out was the lashes being kinda small and there just being too many, but you already pointed that out in your description lol. Very very cool.

Yeah, it's one of those things you look back on years later and go "Omg, whyyyyyyy did I do that?". But I've had five years to learn not to repeat that mistake, lol.
