been askt if i were to design pennywise the dancing clown, what would i do? being someone of the opinion that clowns are dumb and are never going to be scary no matter how hard the general public tries to tell me they are... i just went in on it and made a bigger, dumber, funnier looking clownthis new pennywise stalks its prey on all 4s and is the size of like a bear and his arms and legs have no real defined joints they just bend however fuck it

I've always found normal clowns to be much creepier than deliberately scary ones. Also, is it me or are sad clowns much more relatable? You see a sad clown, you're like "same". You see a smiling clown and you go "wtf are you so happy about?"

tbh deliberately scary stuff usually falls way short to me like, mundane things can be so sinister its like no one appreciates subtlety honestly tbh subtle horror rlly scares the fuck out of me
