She almost reminds me of a woman I saw in one of my lucid dreams many years ago-- albeit, she wasn't a specter but her image stuck with me for years. I really do enjoy how you construct these little snippets of story and character with your artwork.

Not the same way of death, but I got a screamin jenny vibe from her... she's an urban legend from my state!

She was a kind, but poor woman who lived on her own. She barely had the money to feed herself and only had a small fire to keep her warm. One night, a spark flew from it and lit her skirts on fire, but she was too focused on filling her stomach to realize until it had burnt through the wool and hit her skin. She ran out of her shack and was hurrying along the train tracks to a station, just a screaming ball of fire. She didn't see headlights and the conductor couldn't stop the train until it was too late, and she was mowed down. She was pretty much forgotten about until the following year, when a different conductor saw that ball of fire. Again, she was mowed down, but the conductor didn't see anything when he leapt out of the train
They say her ghost appears on the anniversary of her death on those tracks! This is in Duffields, WV, in the Shenandoah Junction
Not a lot of interesting urban legends come out of this state, but this is one of my favorites!

We've never had anything like that in my area, since I'm in the Northern part of the state, but that sounds cool!
