....sorta... Right in the last hour or so heheheh.ΒThis piece was a Collab with the homies Jeffrey theCHAMBA Β Cruz and Robert Robaato Porter
we all did our own takes on the Character of April O'neil from TMNT... I think its quite cool seeing how different they all look.

All three of them are awesome. Its hard to choose a favorite. They're all so fantastically designed and managed to still contain the essence of the character. Superbly done!

What a fantastic project you folks coordinated!Β However, I'd love to see some variations on the layout that alternate the placements of each April so that each artist might get a chance to shine.
I like all the designs, but I think yours has the most kinetic energy in the dynamic pose and the accessory bag.

Well we are rotating the center artist for each character. but we'll also be posting the solo pieces. my I think everyone has uploaded the solo one on dA or tumblr or facebook. so theyre out there for sure.
yeah with the april one we didnt establish a layout before drawing them.. so on the other characters we definitely addressed that. so in the end the aprils might be redone.. depends on how much better the other ones turn out.

Very nice. All 3 look good, I like the old school, conservative looking April the best though. Chamba's version takes me back to childhood Β
I like your hiphop/urban version and Robaato's classy lady, suburbs version. Any of these would make due.

not really what she dressed like in the old school version. infact her outfit in the old cartoon made zero sense for a tv reporter.
But yes chambas version is def the most conservative.

Yea, just her jacket took it back [visually] oldschool and instantly made me think of old April. Especially the short hairstyle. Her jacket is closed up, so first glance you almost see that 90s jumpsuit that April wore, which yes was ridiculous for a TV reporter, Lol

I suppose though if you look at his april zoomed in. she actually has the longest hair.. its in a braid on the side. and shes also probably a bit More conservative than Old school april as shes buttoned all the way to the top and old school april liked to button down a bit.. low V cut closer to the other 2.
but yeah that outfit made very little sense as a reporter.

it was fun to do up with out any idea what the other guys were doing.. though I had seen sketches of jeffs before I designed mine. The Casey jones one though I have no clue what theyre gonna come up with.

To me it almost looks like different stages of her life. There's the earnest, but inexperienced Journalism student. The spunky, conquer-the-world free-lance blogger. Then the serious, hard hitting, award winning expose journalist.Β
