Main Entry:
Prompt: (Combined Prompts #3, #4, & #5)
Prompt 3:
Things are going well between you and the Black Market Drakehest. There is still a long way to go, but the foundation stone is set and the mutual affinity is growing. To show that you are willing to trust the Drakehest equally, you decide to show them a place that has a special meaning to you.
Depict how you introduce the Drakehest to said place. (Hina shows him a secret waterfall that has been hidden by a small valley. It is her special thinking place)
Prompt 4:
There are quite a few things the Black Market Drakehest has been through, but enjoying themself outside in the freshly fallen snow has yet been no part of it. In order to let them enjoy the winter scenery, you decide to take them with you for a stroll through the surrounding area. Who knows, maybe the Drakehest is even up for playing in the snow?
Depict how you spend the time together outside. (Hina takes him to her waterfall in the winter, and they enjoy the partially frozen river with the large waterfall with a picnic in the snow)
Prompt 5:
As you are getting to know the Black Market Drakehest more and more, you discover what their favorite treat is – maybe even by trial and error at first.
Depict how you are enjoying the delicious treats together. Sharing is caring! (Hina & Hraun enjoy a picnic of treats together; apparently he loves the honey treats the best!)

~Continued From:
I see the questions in your eyes
I know what's weighing on your mind
You can be sure I know my part
Cause I stand beside you through the years
You'll only cry those happy tears
And though I make mistakes
I'll never break your heart
And I swear by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there
I swear like the shadow that's by your side
I'll be there for better or worse
Till death do us part
I'll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear...
~ "I Swear" By Penelope Matanguihan
One the third day, Hina decided to leave bright and early. They packed a picnic basket filled with various treats and a blanket, and they set off for a very special place. The other places Hina had showed to Hraun were more beautiful than this place most would say, but this place held very special meaning to Hina. It was her secret place where she would go to be alone and think, and it was also her place where she went to escape and be alone. The sound of the pounding waterfall and the sound of the splash of the water and spray were so soothing to Hina, so she hoped that Hraun would think the same, because Hina wanted Hraun to be able to use her special place to escape to as well if the world was overwhelming him. It would give him a place to calm his emotions and clear his head. It was for Hina, because she still struggled with certain things in her own life.
Hraun carried the basket in his mouth as they descended into the small hidden valley, and he looked up as he heard the sound of the pounding waterfall and the rush of water. Before them was a large waterfall, the largest one he had ever seen. It was beautiful and powerful and made Hraun fell small when looking up at it. It must have been 7 or 8 stories higher than them.
Hina led them to a clear area on the snow next to the bank of the half frozen river, as close to the large waterfall as they could safely get, and to say that Hraun was awed by it was an understatement. Hina took the basket from him and set it down gently with her mouth, then flipped open the top of it and pulled out a blue plaid blanket. She lifted it with her mouth and shook it out and laid it down, before going around and pulling out the corners to straighten it. Then she set the basket back on the blanket before walking onto it and inviting Hraun onto the blanket as well. Hraun obliged and was surprised at how warm it was above the snow. The day was chilly but didn't affect him since his blood ran hot. Hina seemed unaffected, despite seeming to be more of a tropical nature than the surrounding winter.
"I brought a few treats of every kind, since I wasn't sure what you would like, but I made sure to include a lot of each one in case you only liked one type of treat," Hina said with a smile, as she held out a treat that looked like a baked log with herbs tied to the top. Hraun took the treat curiously, and when he bit into it, he almost immediately went to spit it out. Hina laughed at the panicked expression on his face as he spit it out on the snow outside of the blanket and tried to eat some snow to rid himself of the strange taste of the treat.
Hraun glowered at Hina as she laughed even harder, just causing Hraun to finally just pout. When Hina offered him a treat again, Hraun eyed it with suspicion. After his first taste test, he wasn't keen on trying any more but he would never know if he even liked one if he didn't try.
"Oh come on, it won't be that bad! This one looks more normal!," Hina exclaimed with amusement, as she held out a bar of what looked like cereal in her mouth to him. Hraun raised his eyebrow and sighed. It looked like it would taste drier than the desert in his opinion, but he knew Hina wouldn't let up until he at least tried it.
Hraun gently took the treat into his mouth and started chewing it. Almost immediately, the treat sucked up all the saliva in his mouth, making him instantly thirsty. This one was as bad as the first one, but it still tasted gross to Hraun simply because it was so damn DRY. After making sure he wouldn't choke on the sucker, he quickly walked over to the river and took a long drink of the fresh water and drank deeply. Once he felt his moisture return and the taste was washed out, Hraun walked glumly back to the picnic blanket. So far, this outing was proving to be not to his taste. (Haha)
Hina was trying to keep in her laughs and a smile caused the corners of her muzzle to twitch as she offered yet another treat to him.
"I heard this one was really good!," Hina smiled, as she offered a pink frosted treat that was shaped like an apple. Hraun just grunted.
"At this point, they ALL taste like shit...," he muttered, as he took the third treat in this impromptu taste testing. As soon as Hraun bit into it, there was only one word he could use to describe it; SWEET. Like, sickeningly sweet. WAY too sweet. It wasn't bad at all compared to the other two treats, but it really grossed him out. He swallowed down the treat like he was swallowing a pound of castor oil. He then ate a bit of snow just to erase some of the cloyingly sweet taste it left in his mouth. He didn't understand why anyone would ever like any of these treats. They all sucked! Thankfully, there was only one last treat for Hraun to try, and then he could make himself happy and eat snow for the rest of this picnic. He could already tell that Hina liked those DISGUSTING herbal treats, like ew...
Hina smiled softly, and offered what looked like a cookie that had honey in the center.
"I heard that this one was a favorite of a lot of the horses back at the stable. I tried it, and it tastes good, but I prefer the herbal treat. Maybe this one is the winner?," Hina asked, as she offered the treat to Hraun. Hraun eyed it warily, getting tired of gross tasting treats, but resigned himself to the fact that it was only one more. He could do this!
So Hraun stretched out his neck and gently took the treat from Hina. The first thing that struck Hraun about this particular treat was the scent. It wasn't spicy like the herbal treat, it wasn't dry like the cereal treat, and it wasn't cloyingly sweet like the apple treat. This one smelled sweet, but it was such a faint sweetness, that it was like a tease. Interested now, Hraun quickly bit into the honey treat and his eyes lit up. This was delicious! Hraun quickly ate the rest of the treat up with urgency, causing Hina to laugh at his antics. She felt he looked like a foal who had just discovered how good alfalfa hay was for the first time.
Hraun quickly dug around the picnic basket for the rest of the honey treats and hoarded them, refusing to let Hina try one. Every time she got too close to one, he'd growl and Hina would just laugh. She thought it was so funny that he felt he needed to protect his hoard of cookies. Perhaps he gained more traits from dragons than he liked to admit.
Later, once they had eaten all the treats they wanted and had packed up the picnic basket, they were about to leave when Hina suddenly turned to Hraun.
"Hraun, I wanted you to know that I swear to always be there for you. I swear it," Hina trailed off softly, her eyes gazing at Hraun lovingly, catching him off guard. His heart melted as he took in her expression, and the seriousness in it along with the love he could already see there. His eyes softened and he smiled, as he touched noses with her.
"...I know," Hraun replied, conviction in his voice.
This was a promise.
