It is a wonderful experience.  There are many nice people who come to the convention.  Models, riggers, photographers and such.  They have booths set up in the main lobby for vendors as well.

Hmm...interesting. And they hands on activities and live demos and such?

BTW, I was kinda interested on giving mummification thing a try but the only problem is how to talk a simple friend into being a partner/model for this w/o freaking her out. Any tips?

They have demos and classes for certain things there.

Asking a friend about being a partner/model without freaking her out?  Do you know if she is into this kind of stuff?  Normally knowing the person fairly well helps.

Well I do know that one friend I have in mind likes scary films, so I could say it'd be kinda like that.
If I do find a model for this mummification thing, anything I should about how to keep it safe?

Basic ties, safety classes, talking about bondage and BDSM classes.  I can't remember what all the classes and demos were about.

As long as the friend is ok with being mummified, use saran wrap under the tape.  It helps to protect the person's skin from being hurt.  Make sure she can breathe.  Not just through her nose, but that she is able to take adequate amounts of air with each breath.
