Description Medium power armor suit. Codename "Grom"
Designed for general combat situations.
Suit increases soldier's strength and gives good protection against most threats (also chemical) while not decreasing mobility.
Backpack with large supply of ammunition for the main weapon and grenade launcher makes long operations viable.
Very high level of EMP protection and closed cycle respiratory system ensures this unit's reliability in most situations.
Main weapon is assault rifle (nicknamed "Kuma" for it's large size). It has attached grenade launcher for dealing with lightly armored vehicles.
Each soldier carries at least one smoke grenade and a handful of fragmentation grenades.

PS.
"Grom" means "thunder" in Polish. Also, it is a name of Polish spec ops military unit.

Cool. Anyway I noticed one thing. It is hard to call it mistake but modern camouflage looks like that www.wallpaperfull.com/stockima… This one what u used is old type. I think it is quite important to notice thing like that.

A ci, co? Uczestniczą w akcji "Bądź widoczny na drodze"?

Szczerze, to przyjąłbym entuzjastycznie, gdybyś w tytule zawarł "Chrome" zamiast GROM.

Ze względu na dizajn bardziej z tą nazwą (Made in Techland) mi się bardziej kojarzy twój (niemal kosmiczny) projekt.

Zaiste, bycie przejechanym byłoby słabym końcem dla komandosa GROMu.

Tak. Może jeszcze jakieś białe koszulki i rękawiczki. Obowiązkowo gwizdki - przydatne również w innych sytuacjach. Także na drodze.

A tak serio, to w dalszym ciągu podtrzymuję tezę o Chrome www.gry-online.pl/S026.asp?ID=… .

Cokolwiek by to znaczyło...

Pozdrawiam i podziwiam wyobraźnię na podstawie galerii (kobieta z piłą łańcuchową w ....?!WTF!?)

P.S. Odnośnie studium malarstwa, to polecam Wyspiańskiego.

they all look pretty functional, but i would remove the highlights if i were you (for the sake of camouflage). also, what is the actual powersourse?

Forge-T In reply to WAR-THERAPY [2013-10-17 22:48:21 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Well I decided to go with those lights for the coolness factor. They would glow when particular systems would operate on full power.
Also, the other armor had those so for the sake of coherency I had to show them.

Built-in battery. However having actual power cells to recharge on the go is a pretty cool idea. I have to think about it.

a few years ago i imagined a kind of solar battery to power up laser rifles. basically, you would have 3 or 4 of these; you used the, then you exchenged them and placed the used up one on your shoulder. once ou finished using the other two, that one would be recharged.

maybe you could use something like this, but bigger?

Forge-T In reply to WAR-THERAPY [2013-10-18 10:37:43 +0000 UTC]

That's a very cool idea indeed. However with solar power there are some problems. First of all, the energy acquired would be very dependent on the location and weather, not to mention a time of day.
Those guys have backpacks. If say, an engineer class soldier would be deployed with the team, he could be able to setup a "solar flower" that would serve as a recharging station. It would hold much power to be useful during the night to some extent. Though this kind of thing would be more suited to regular army, but not necessarily spec ops.

as for the others tough... well come to think of it its kinda pointless to think about camouflage, because i presuma that by the time these mechsuits were implemented everyone would have thermal surveilance.

Forge-T In reply to WAR-THERAPY [2013-10-18 21:09:13 +0000 UTC]

True, however one might say that for every system there always come countermeasures. They could have special screening on those suits that would prevent that.

WAR-THERAPY In reply to Forge-T [2013-10-18 21:38:10 +0000 UTC]

true. how about EMP charging fields? you keep a mini generator at hand, and once your suit enters the low battery mode, it gives you a warning (lets say 1 hour before your power goes criticaly low), then all you have to do is place the generator, and it would create an EMP field around the user, that would recharge its batteries. i know EMP tends to do interference, but lets consider their suits are equiped with a special cover that absorbs electricity from emp fields.

that would be terrific.

Forge-T In reply to WAR-THERAPY [2013-10-21 20:30:44 +0000 UTC]

Yep, Grom Suits have EMP protection so they are generally safe against those.
Overall EMP fries electronics. It is Pulse, not constant stream of energy. Also, EMP is actually energy being released, not generated.
In that sense solar panels and batteries seem more viable.
