Amazing! Sketchy, colorful, exuberant, great composition, and best of all, it has none of the fussy details and perfection I'm used to seeing people attempt with digital art.
Why do we call them 'Speedpaints" at less than an hour? Ten minutes is a speedpaint. More than an hour is a marathon.

Digital art is driving me nuts, because it takes so much damn effort to do everything! HOW THE HELL CAN YOU WORK LIKE THIS?!?!? The detail isn't worth it, but I still take about 3-10 hours per piece digitally. I sympathize with you on that.
Wheras I spend an average of thirty seconds on a pencil and paper drawing, no matter how complicated. If it needs more than that, it wasn't strong enough to deserve the extra time. My animation sketches take seven times as long to clean up as it does to draw in the first place! XD
(My room is filled with endless stacks of printer paper, I go through about two reams a month. FML.)

LOl i find it so much easier to do everything. If I had tried the same things traditionally it would take me at least 3-4 times as long for some reason. Nothing I draw takes under an hour... NOTHING T.T unless its a bg for some reason when I can get a good image of it in my head it only takes me about 20-45 minutes to do my bgs >.>
I wish I could pull that off i do. it takes me so long to draw anything because I'm a damn fucking perfectionists on things T.T

That's what bugs me - I prefer the fact that you're fucking the laws of physics when you apply a brush of pencil to paper, and the computer's only data. You don't get those accidents that look natural in the linework - you get shit wrong in digital, it just looks wrong. It doesn't look organic. That's why I hate how perfectionist I have to be digitally...
That's probably better than artistic ADHD - and you probably spend a hell of a lot less on art supplies!
I oughtta ask r/art if there's any tips they have on staying with pictures. I only have like three long-form picture ideas, but sheesh. I'm like William Steig. No patience at all.

Lol I think you can it just takes some getting use to doing digital. i've seen people that can do those accidents and have it be the most fucking cool thing ever >.>
LOL some times I still buy a shit ton (though I buy more on things that catch my interests XD LOL

I'm with you on that. I only really like the digital settings that add a warmth to the characters - like color changing velocity, that sort of thing... but I'll probably embrace the more clinical shit. And I love some of those accidental things - characters whose designs rip and all that.
Art supplies. The closest thing this world has to casting magic in terms of how specific all the elements have to be.
You ever seen some of William Steig's later art? It's so slapdash and happy ... I've loved those since I was a kid.

"The hair from the tip of the tail of a male kolinsky sable grown on Kamchatka and fed only berries." "The gall of an oak root broken down with gum arabic into water after being burned with ash wood." It's ridiculous.
Go check his later stuff out. He, like Bill Peet, wrote your childhood and you don't even know it yet. XD

Very mystic and science fictionie! There's a couple places in Southeast Asia that have stone hills very similar to this.
