Description No idea where I'm getting this sudden burst of motivation for art but!!! Jessy finally arrives to the den! About time to it'll be interesting to see how she interacts with everything

(ooohh I loath writing)

--------------------

Everything was... so, so dark... Her head ached as she struggled to stand up. When had it gotten so dark? Just a moment ago, even with the night, she was able to see her surroundings. She could even hear the sounds of everything living in the area—the chirps, the crunching of the leaves, the buzzing of a bug—but.. now? Dead silence. Jessy simply couldn't wrap her head around this—what place would be so devoid of life in the middle of the forest? Life was EVERYWHERE in the forest. How could you remove such an important thing? Suddenly, like a light on a stage, something lit up. An old, rotting statue with moss covering its body appearing? She slowly walked closer, tall, thin trees slowly becoming visible as she came closer and closer to the unmoving statue. As she reached up with her paws, she paused; a creeping feeling was felt in her spine. 2 fingers and 1 thumb with no claws, any insight? She couldn't have just lost a whole finger in a fall and have no blood- In fact, this... was feeling... like a repeat of something.. but ..what? She looked up from her paws and was faced with stone teeth lunging toward her.

Suddenly, Jessy shot up from her slumber, her sweat covering the small kits body, and... bandages?? She quickly looked around the room, the smell of cleaning supplies seemingly filling the room to the brim. Clearly, someone had found her after her fall and put her... in a doctor's room? She knew the fall was... going to hurt, after all, she had experienced it! But this seemed a little like over-kill to her. She was perfectly fine; a bruise wasn't going to kill her! As she began getting up and pulling the covers up, she paused, a pink folk with a concerned look on her face entered the room. Jessy seemingly squinted hard enough at the poor folk to cause her to clear her throat.

"I'm Jasmine I found you at the edges of The Den, pretty beat up.. I couldn't just leave you, so I brought you here!"

Jessy's ear twitched at the sound of her voice, it seemed... very soothing, but she couldn't help but notice how she looked at her—was something wrong? If anything, she was the weird one in this room; she hadn't seen anything like her before! Well, she.. Thinks she hasn't.. What was she exposed to look like? Her head pounded trying to think about it, but.. nothing came up, a frustrated grunt coming out of the small body she was still unfamiliar with

"Sorry, but what are you exposed to be? Where are your... hm.. and that thing on your snout....It's off-putting."

This only seemed to catch Jasmine off guard for a moment before a small chuckle escaped the forming smile she tried to cover with her paws. A bewildered Jessy only looked at the taller folk, had something she said been funny?

"Sweetheart, have you not seen how you look yet? We are Folk here see for your self dear"

As she said this, she pulled out a mirror from a dresser and handed it to Jessy.

Folk?? That was such a silly name, and it just... didn't fit. She KNEW it just didn't feel right, how could she be a folk? As Jessy looked in the mirror, a small gasp came out of her mouth. Her face looked so odd, but.. some parts of it were still familiar... Like her bright shining eyes, the colors of her fur, and how fluffy she wa-

"What is that sticking out of my chest??!?"

She placed her paw on the odd crystal that was placed into her chest had it gotten there from the fall? Did she need to pull it out? It was such a dark, dark color. Haha, that seemed to be a recurring theme after she had fallen into the world. Dark.

The pink folk seemingly bit her lip for a moment before she spoke

"Well, you see, that's your phylactery! Every Folk has it, however, kits your age it pokes out of their chest"

Jessy was only dumbfounded—had this been the thing that caused her so much pain when she fell out of the sky? And why did it seem like Jasmine wasn't... saying everything? It just seemed so weird to be normal. First her odd size and now thi-

"Wait, hold on! what do you mean kits your age! I might be a little short, but I'm an adult! Old enough to drink sap!"

Jessy nodded to herself, so clearly this '''phylactery''' showing was wrong. She wasn't some some kid! She shuddered even thinking about it, a feeling of embarrassment washing over her. Sure.. she couldn't really remember ... or even pin-point memories to prove this, but.... Her gut told her she surely wasn't a child. Jasmine was plastered with a puzzled look, her arms folding.

"Sap? Do you mean alcohol? If so, you are very much not old enough to drink that. Only grown folk should drink that."

What the hell is alcohol??Jessy only returned the confused face to Jasmine. Has this world made up new words as well???? Sap was a perfectly fine name! If anything, it made more sense than '''alcohol''' which seemingly took her whole mouth to say instead of the simple word Sap. She let out yet another groan tossing the mirror back to the dresser as she stepped onto her feet, one of her paws raised like she was trying to mimic how tall she was before

"I'm not going crazy, I swear! I used to be around this tall! Well, I'm sure I was taller- but this is only an example! This thing is clearly wrong!"

She only seemed to sigh in reply Jasmine had a sympathetic expression as Jessy went on and on about how this world was just... odd and nothing was right with it. This just wasn't home.

"This world... can be really confusing when you first get here... you see a lot of things you just.. don't understand but there's plenty of nice Folk around that are always willing to help you! Now hun... if you don't mind, what's your name?"

Jessy sat back down on the bed as she started speaking, her ears flattening. She missed people she couldn't even remember now. Did she have a family? a mother? pets? friends even? She felt.. So alone here and rather guilty for not remembering these people who seemed so important. But how important could they be if she couldn't even remember them? Was her story not important? Who had she been before entering this world? Jasmine softly put her paw on the kits shoulder as she spoke, leading to Jessy look back up at the taller folk. She was right after all Jasmine DID help her when she was passed out after the fall. After a sigh, Jessy finally opened her mouth to reply.

"it's Jessy"
