Well, of course hyraxes don't seem to be related to auxin in any way. But many things in nature don't seem related, even though they are, the best example being the hyrax itself: it looks like a rodent, but its closest relative is actually the elephant. And now look. Elephants! There's an event called the World Elephant Day, and it is held on the 12th of August, that is, on 12/8 (unless you're American, I guess). And 12/8 is a time signature used in the song 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World', by the band Tears For Fears. The band has two members. Two is a prime number. "Prime" can also mean "high quality" or "elite", in other words, the "top". And the word "top" is also used for the above-ground parts of plants, that grow upwards. And the chemical that makes plants grow in the direction they're supposed to? Auxin, of course!
Q.E.D., or whatever do those logic-people say.
