I am the master of incompletion!
Or rather, am complete,
but drawn to incompletion as the opposite end of a magnet.
My glory is in that which has no future:
should anything come to an end, and a good one,
it is nothing of mine;

For I am two-thirds a fairytale ending,
“ever after” without “happily.”
(That is not to say tragically! Both imply a conclusion.
A better adverb is “indefinitely.”
Indefinitely ever after.)
I am living that work which is never quite done,
left on a shelf to be perfected "whenever."
I am that unskilled playwright,
at the end of whose play a hundred plot-strings are left untied.

Nothing is more inevitable or as mind-bendingly impossible to find as the future.
