Also, before anyone throws a fit - no, I have nothing against PK. Rhett's favorite pastime just happens to be butting heads with her. And if he can, annoying her by clinging to the Items stall and singing things he makes up on the spot. Very loudly.

So in his own way, he's helping the merchants by drumming up sales.

Rixx the Riolu:
Friendly and eager to please, if a bit absent-minded.

Also a textbook case of "beware the nice-ones".

As a riolu, he is an empath - he uses this ability to more easily get along with others and find items that they might like. The perfect item for the occasion, before they even tell him.

Unlike most riolu, his aura-sensing ability is fairly refined.

Unlike most lucario, his sense is sound-based. He doesn't "see" aura, so much as "hears" it. With his extra set of "ears" he can pick up on the unique music that each 'mon has, and even the sounds of the world around him.
Depending on a 'mon's outlook on life, each song has a different theme, and every emotion is a variation of that theme. Most 'mon have a particular instrument or group of instruments that feature prominently in their tune. Some, although rarely, have a well-balanced symphony.

Objects - like chairs, plants, and things like fire and water - only have a few notes or a hum/rhythm. They make up the background of every place, and often form the unique song of a place, like Tao or Castle Draclugia.

Since recent events in Tao, Rixx has become more interested in training the team to become stronger. It just isn't practical to take lengthy down-time after every mission they participate in.

Besides that, having been introduced to Merlot's library he's become much more interested in the history and legends of the world. A couple in particular nag at his memory, and he feels that if he could just learn more, somehow he'd know everything he's forgot.

He's still looking for an old friend, who he sees/hears occasionally in his sleep. Maybe one of those old legends could point him to someone that knows how to find that sort of thing, or an item to return lost memory (or turn back time).

In the meantime, he's happy just to help Rhett in his theatrical endeavors and borrow instruments to play around Tao. Music for the masses!

Rhett the Snivy:
Quick, both in thought and motion, charismatic, and stubborn. If he wants something done, he does it as quickly as possible; if he loves something, he enthusiastically tries to get others to see what's so great about it. He's also quite persuasive and surprisingly smooth when he wants to be.

Loyal to a fault. If he decides he likes you, he'll stick by you 'till you convince him otherwise. Which requires some pretty messed-up activities.

Although quite the joker, even he knows when to be dignified. Generally this occurs when dealing with certain customers, or characters like Twigs... Pretty much anyone that reminds him of his life before running away (and who might leave to tell of his antics).

Due to recent events, he's become more serious about training and getting stronger. Maybe if he can fight better, they could branch out farther than Tao and bring sales to their quiet little cart in Creeping Forest. Maybe they could finally work up the funds to turn their old tree-den into a swinging theater. Amphitheater, even!

Until then, he's quite happy helping around Tao and spreading the word about musical theater. He writes and performs his own plays and music, favors musicals, and will act all the parts if he must. If he makes a fool of himself on stage, all the better - people'll leave talking about his acting.

"The arts aren't just for high society! Theatre for the masses!"

He enjoys all forms of music and theater, even opera... Just don't mention that he sings like a young Count Remmington. Or looks like him. Or in any way reminds you of him. That is not to be discussed, and he will not hear any of it.
