“Today’s psychology lesson will feature a practical demonstration. I’ll need a few volunteers, and to incentive you all, I’m offering 10% extra credit on the next test if you can complete a simple challenge.”

“What do we have to do?” One of the students asked.

“ It’s very simple, all you need to do is put on one of the helmets that I’ve placed on your desks, and remain seated and completely silent. If you can do that, I’ll give you an extra 10% on the next test.

The girls all excitedly agreed and placed the helmets on their heads.

The teacher pushed a button on the remote control she had in her pocket, and the helmets began to glow and make humming sounds. The girls remained still, but their breathing slowed.

“Now you are all doing well so far, continue to remain seated and silent. Very good, does everyone think they’ll be getting that extra credit? Well let’s try something. Christine, stand up, come to the front of the class, and explain to everyone that you have a weak mind and have failed the challenge.”

Christine obediently stood and walked directly to the front of the class, she turned to face her classmates. In a completely emotionless manner, she stated- “At first I thought this was silly, and that I would easily complete the challenge. I now know that I am a foolish, weak minded girl, who can be easily commanded.” Christine remained standing at the front of the class.

The teacher smiled devilishly. “Well, no extra credit for Christine.” The teacher peered over the class. “Now, Samantha, join Christine at the front of the class and tell everyone how weak your mind is. Samantha got up and walked over to Christine, standing beside her.

“My mind is so weak, it is just putty. It is so easily molded.”

“Sorry Samantha, no extra credit for you either.” One by one the teacher called them to front of the class and each student obediently followed the commands given to them.

“Now, I did say this would be a practical demonstration didn’t I? Ladies, please gather the cleaning supplies and tidy up my room. Wait Samantha, not you, I think I’d like a little back rub.”The students immediately went about obediently completing their tasks.
