I had no idea how to do a background so yeah it's done I guessOriginally I wanted to draw something else but then I it became Raphael. Stupid angel who doesn't even have wings anymore

With the right color choice and fuzzy-edge brush, you can do an impression of stuff in the background. I used to really struggle too, until I realized field of depth can work in my favor. From there it's down to doing layout studies, which can be frustrating when you're thinking, "I just want a cool BG!"

What you did works for the image. It just depends on what mood you think fits, what story you had going on in your head, etc. I think that's why I struggle sometimes. I don't create a complete story in my head for that moment.
