Description
Another step closer,
and I feel the breeze through the skin.
Another breath stronger,
and I can feel the distance strengthen.

     But the sun sinks below me
     and when the wind dies,
     there's no one to breath into me,
     and I find it unbearable,
     so I take another step.

Another moment longer,
and I sense the moisture on my skin.
Another yard further,
and, in the air, I still feel the tension.

     Because the moon still cries for me
     and when the stars fade away
     there's no one to call my name,
     no one to push me forward,
     so I take another step.

One step forward,
and the ground falls out from under me.
One last breath to live for,
and the wind washes over me

     and when the rush tries to choke me,
     my soul leaves the body
     and there's no one there to save me,
     to carry me up high,
     so I took that last step.

One moment longer
and the cliff fades behind me.
One last second to live for
and I let the waves caress me.

     So as the ocean fills my body,
     I sink towards the bottom
     and lie weightless in the sand
     until the current shoves me forward
     to take another step.
