Here i lie in a pool of patience,
listening carefully to the leaves
as they taunt the winds with dry anticipation.
No rain has fallen for centuries,
and i find myself dehydrated.

Here i lie, tangled in weeds of weakness,
waiting once more for the sky to come
and pierce the canopy above.
No voices have spoken to me,
and i find myself abandoned.

Here i lie in a bed of beliefs,
false with the hope for recognition,
while the darkness approaches
the clearing's lips.
No stars have shone here,
and i find myself betrayed.

Here i stay in a wreath of wreckage,
kept by an obligation
of constant waiting,
though truth claims they will not return.
I will stay here forever,
and find myself patient.
