I'm glad you like the idea!<3 And yeah,I love how the flower is beautiful yet so frail... so deciding to gift one to someone you love/cherish is an act of showing how much they mean to you and it can be used for proposals (which fits very nicely)

Yes it actually makes a lot of sense!! And also they could also give them like special gifts for dear friends or family. Which it can also explain why Ghost give one to the Elderbug. It is interesting that he's the only character that can accept the flower

Well, with the new dlc you can givs the flower to other NPC now! Some of them will accept it, others will refuse but they explain more about the flower.

I did not knew that, it feels strange though, now that lots of characters can have something that is supposed to be unique
