Flashwing's true origins are a mystery. But her first appearance came when Bash made a wish that he could fly and looked up to see a shooting star streak across the sky and land in a valley below. Thats exactly what I saw in many sites as well but she came along blabbing on about how they are related. I don't believe it one bit so I am going by on what you had just shown me and not some wiki site she got this info from.
