I like the way you do the shading. It looks like it's slightly gradianted, which is a neat effect.

I first create a layer over the flat colors set to multiply, then I select the area outside the lineart and change the selector setting to inverse. Then I color in the shading. Next I duplicate the shading layer and add the filter "gaussian blur" set to about 4.5 pixels. Finally I take the airbrush on a layer over the shading, set to overlay, and, using a large size brush, paint around the edges of the shades.
