Description

We went into the first class dining saloon after heading through a doorway near the grand staircase. The specter was still following us, silently, gracefully, She kept her gaze on the robot the whole time. It made me wonder if she knew the layout of the ship by heart. Given how long it’s been since the sinking, it wouldn’t have surprised me at all if she did.

Despite being well, wrecked, the first class saloon had a strange majesty to it. This place was pretty lively according to the records. Lots of mingling went on here.

Lots of memories.

Our see-through escort was looking all over the room, from the tables and chairs to the VIP area. She was gliding through it like the water couldn't stop her at all. We couldn’t see much of her face, so we couldn’t figure out what she was thinking or feeling.

Maybe we were bringing her to a place where she had fond memories, made friends, laughed and smiled with people she cared about.

Or maybe she never set foot in here. Who knows. She might have no connection to it whatsoever.

The ROV’s camera panned around the room, looking at an overturned board listing the dinner menu as well as a cash register. Oddly enough, the register seems like it wasn’t disturbed by the descent.

The ghost kept watch whilst hovering near a table. She was floating right above it like a jellyfish as we surveyed the room. She watched the ROV go from the tables to the door to the manager’s office and the entrance to the kitchen.

Unfortunately, it looked like the kitchen was out of bounds on account of the door being blocked by debris. We weren’t gonna be getting a look at whatever high end early 20th century cookware was inside.

There was no telling how much longer our spooky friend was gonna wait, but she was pretty patient. As far as I know, she might’ve appreciated the company enough to let us hang around as long as we wanted.

It was so weird, being in that place with her. It almost looked like some really weird date.

All we needed was a waiter to come by to take our order.
