I normally keep them very clean, pardon the soot, I just fed the Gold Cup 500 rounds in this session.

Smith&Wesson 629 .44 Magnum with a 6" barrel and Hogue rubber grips. I've shimmed out hammer side play and added a reduced power trigger rebound spring to reduce the trigger pull weight.

Colt Gold Cup Trophy 1911: Wilson Combat checkered mainspring housing and magazine well, extended slide stop, Wolf #2 reduced power magazine release spring, Ed Brown stainless Allen head grip screws, Buffer Technologies recoil buffer.
