Description
This second dream I am about to tell you of is somewhat connected to the first in a sense that I had an extraordinarily clear awareness of my surroundings. For some reason, the setting of the dream always manifests itself to me with astounding clarity. I have no idea why or how.

I find myself in a one-story house with a relatively high ceiling. Everything is white, and there seems to be pillar-like structures built throughout. Barely any furniture is present. I see a flash of dark hair disappear behind one of these pillars. Intrigued, I look around it and see him again. He smiles as if he had just made the best joke in the world. In retrospect, his "attempt" to play hide-and-seek with me, especially in that empty, white room, was a very lame joke indeed.

He takes me by the hand and leads me to a wall with vertical blinds, white like the rest of the room. Out of curiosity, I begin to pull back the blinds with a cord, but he stops me and tells me to just step through without seeing what was on the other side.

"Trust me," he says.

I reach through the blinds and feel glass on the other side. Oh, I think, another joke. Excellent. But he shakes his head, a completely serious smile on his face, and urges me once more to trust him. I walk through without hesitation and feel myself emerge on the other side. What had happened to the glass?

At that moment, I don't think I really cared. All I was focusing on was the sight before me. It was interesting enough, if those are the right words. The area was rectangular, with the side closest to me and farthest from me about a third shorter than the lengths. There was a narrow walkway all around said area. In the exact middle running horizontally was another walkway, but it was slightly thicker and became a circle in the center of the area. Sitting on that circle is some sort of statue. It is tall and relatively cylindrical for about five and a half feet. On the top of the cylinder is a round sphere-like shape. It's a bit difficult to describe it in text.

The two spaces (remember that the center walkway separated the area) are half-filled with green-black water. I can still see though it, but it gives off that feeling. The entire space is covered with rotting vines and is bordered on three sides by dirt hills. The fourth side should be bordered by the house, but when I turn around I see that it is no longer there. Instead, I see a thick forest. Nothing really special, it's just a forest.

As I peer into one of the shallow pools of water I realize that there are tiny insects swimming around among the sunken, rotting lily pads. Each is white, almost clear and about the length of my middle finger. Each has two antennae and two beetle-like forelegs, also white, located very near their heads. They move around and swim by wiggling their bodies from side to side. They are somewhat like a cross between snakes, worms, and insects?

Naturally because I'm terrified of unusual bugs, especially ones like these, I back away from the pond as soon I can. He is somehow behind me again. Giving me a gentle push, he tells me to walk across the pool. It's shallow enough, why not?

I tell him I'm afraid and he laughs a little at me, telling me again to trust him. So I walk across, reluctantly at first, but when I see that the creatures scurry away from my feet as I advance, I begin to walk faster. I don't look behind to see if he's following, if he's still there, or if he's disappeared.

His voice tells me that there is a door on the opposite side of the statue. Just as I reach for the handle on the door, I awaken from my dream.

Terrible.

That place has appeared quite often in subsequent dreams, each time with different circumstances leading to it. Strange, neh?
