I actually had no idea about that at the time. When I first wrote about her it was 2016 and that was before I knew about Azur Lane. Since she was introduced running through a town ninja style I decided to look up Japanese names for one that meant "grace" as a parody.
香雅～ Kaga ～
meaning:
"香" is incense. "雅" is refinement, elegance, grace.
When I started playing AL and realized there was a Kaga in the game I was a little disappointed they looked so different.

Thanks! The scarf has been with her since she was first created and I hope to find a way to keep it part of her outfit. I wanted footwear that looked like you could jump from car to car in, and stilettos don't seem like that'd be great for that. The blade on her back is shorter, so more of a wakizashi. I can always try to render a pic of her with a katana in either hand. I'll work on that.

A wakizashi is even better. More often than not, I forget about the long and short sword style of dual wielding that would be more accurate than the over the top anime / manga style of dual wielding katana

That was 19 year old Kaga in that story. She's 23 now. A bit better at the whole kunoichi thing these days.

Thank you. A lot of time went into making them, particularly the one on the left. Most of that pose was done manually to look right (to me at least) holding the sword.

She's probably drunk on the right side, and the center might be post fight. She's a fan of fighting. Brightens her mood.
