Description
Silently my soul gives inas her soft lips touch mine.
A single thought throughout my head,
The heavenly word divine
But lovers say, that lovers tend.
All good things come to an end.
As age sets in, our bones grow old,
It's time to die we are told.
The black robed man comes across the floor
Baring scythe and contract forth.
But one small glimpse of our love pure,
And his powers stand no more.
We've broken the chains of mortality.
Now our love can become a reality.

So essentially this Leonine has formed a contract with...whom? Death? A demon? And because of that, death comes to claim the soul, only to find, that the contract has been invalidated by a higher power.
Is that about correct?
And what was the content of the contract? That the one talking is brought back to life? Immortality maybe? A challenge?

I suppose I wasn't very clear on that on. The idea was that death is the contract we've all signed to be here but I believe there to be a life after this one and that death's contract holds nothing against us in the end. We just have to be apart for a little while.
I have several piece with Leonine but I'm always to scared to put them on. you know that feeling when you put your all into something and it becomes your "child" and you don't want to expose them to the world because you fear the world wouldn't understand.

Ah, I see. Well, everyone has to die at some point, that's correct. Many actually see Azrael (the angel of death), not as something vile or even evil, but as a sign of mercy from God.
He sends his angel to fetch us before his throne...so our actions will be judged and we be treated accordingly...or something like that.
I agree with you on one thing though: I don't believe in Death being the ultimate end, but merely a stepping stone...a journey to another place. (Whether it's better or worse remains to be seen)
I once came across the following quote (you get a virtual cookie if you can guess where it's from): 'Death is a door! Time is a window! I will return!'...well, there's truth in that.
Regarding the 'trying to protect it from the world'...every parent has to accept at some point, that they can't protect their child forever (also because Death will eventually claim them)...and as such, they HAVE to let go eventually.
If they fail to let go...and let the child find its own way in the world...the child won't be able to live.
That's what I am thinking when I write my stories straight to the world.
The world is a cruel place, you're right about that. And my characters are very dear to me (heck, they're a part of me). But I wouldn't be able to forgive myself, if I kept them captive in the little closet that's a notebook, if there's an entire world waiting for them out there.
And through comments from people like myself, I improve as a writer...and as a person. And it's all thanks to my 'children', who journey out into the world and bring joy and entertainment to others.

What, really? How very flattering of you to say
Anyway, whether you upload it or not of course depends on you.
But from my experience, people have been very fair towards me and my stories. Sure, I'm making mistakes (we all do). Typos, grammar errors, sometimes I forget stuff or start with one sentence and end with another.
But not even once do I recall receiving something like: 'This sucks hard' or 'Why do you even bother?' or anything.
Nor did I ever give a comment like that. And I intend to keep it that way.
Ah yes...just in case IF someone decides to write me a comment like that...I choose to ignore his destructive criticism, the person most obviously only wrote to piss me off, and continue on regardless.
Because we, as the authors, have the liberty to choose who we want to be influenced by.
