Description
This is an idea I had for a running gag in the "Lookin' Bright" comic series about a fictional buddy cop movie from the 80's that exist within the universe.

Ash & Blake is the story of a no nonsense cop, Sgt. Ashley "Ash" McLane (a female hyena) from the LASD being partnered up with the wild loose canon cop, Detective Stanley "Blake" Slater (a male German shepherd/coyote mix), who is temporary transferred from the Beverly Hills police department. Both of them can't seem to see eye to eye as they both have trouble keeping partners in the past, but they must put aside their conflict and work together after they're sucked into the horrific world of political corruption and it's connection with organized crime.

Originally this started off as an idea for a running gag in "Lookin' Bright" to parody 80's action films, but soon I began thinking of lore for these characters and now I kinda hope to make a full webcomic or book about them one day... hopefully.
