Same. I like a lot of Extreme Metal genres, Death Metal/Black Metal/Thrash Metal.
I hope I can start my own band though

Dude that’s really cool! Also same. I’ve been wanting to start my own band too! For a while now I’ve just been thinking of ideas for albums and song concepts. I’ve even drawn some of the album cover ideas XD

I am curious as to what instrument you play. I play the drums

I play both the guitar and the bass.
I'm more of a rhythm guitarist so don't really expect alot of solos from me.

Oh awesome! I was about to ask that too. Whether you played rhythm or lead. Hey but rhythm is where it’s at. It can induce severe head banging XD

Yeah I always looked up to guitarist like, Scott Ian, Johnny Ramone, Trevor Peres and Billy Graziadei. I got a bass just in case I need to fill in when the band needs one.

Also not really. So far its just me and I can't play anything else.

I can't really think of a good song to write. 
I spent most of my high school years in terrible cover bands
