I had a little doubt about the eyelids indeed, I didn't remember if they were white or black >< I thought they were white, in the end, because this way his eyes wouldn't have been hidden!

I wish I could say more about this picture...I just don't know these characters at all.
You did a fairly convincing job on the tufts of grass, at least as cartoon style goes.
I'm not crazy about this shading style, as I think it makes the picture out-of-focus.
