What if, in our fantasy, anthropomorphic animals kill humans to make shoes and coats out of their skin? Scary, huh? It's exactly so for animals...in our real life.If you think that a sassy cartoon fox wearing a coat made of human skin is creepy...know thatΒ the fact that real people kill real animals ONLY to make coats out of their fur is even creepier

It's a possibility! Although I kinda doubt it would serve any other purpose than a fashion statement. I like fur and I eat what I hunt, it's a Native American thing, but if I were used as such a way, and I wouldn't give up without a fight of course, then do what you will with me! You've won that fight lol!
I've heard rumors, as I'm sure other people have as well, that some people in like Europe or something use HUMAN leather to make jeans and sort. Kinda morbid but hey, to each their own, right?

heh it's unavoidable, but there's a difference between killing an animal to eat it (and then to use its fur too) than to killing it JUST to get its fur... people don't eat foxes and minks

I don't find this creepy at all, considering a few centuries ago, a man in Europe proposed the idea that we were getting too populated and we should start killing babies and re-purpose the skins of said babies into coats, boots and etc

For meat it's a little bit different...animals kill other animals to eat them. Lions, wolves, mongooses, foxes, cats, tigers... that's natural. But did you ever saw for example a wolf killing a sheep just to take its fur? without even eating it?

Sure, it is not WEARING fur, but it is using fur to keep warm. Just like us humans do in winter.
About the "not eating it" part, I know a few rabbit fur farms that sell the meat and sometimes give it to homeless shelters.
The meat from other fur farms (fox, mink, etc) goes to zoos to feed the animals there.Β
The meat in fur farms IS mostly used. You do want the tiger to eat, don't you? I mean, unless you are against zoos that is totally understandable.Β
Only bad fur farms do not use the meat, like from china.Β
