Love the colours to pieces, you seem to know instinctively where to leave a bit of white shine through to let the whole piece some space to breath and some space for the medium to unfold (which I still lack so I admire you for it

Thanks again : ) We actually did some pre-sketching and colourtests beforehand, so I already had some idea of where to leave some whites. Plus this was a set-up I painted from real-life, and the highlights on the (porcelain) bird really amazed me, so it was something I payed extra attention to.
