Description So...In the midst of work, busy university and non-working computers, I decided to go and do water colours with a friend of mine, just to get back into drawing and painting regulary again. And I'm amazed of how great it feels to paint with actual colours - digital is great, but I think I lost my intial inspiration over it. So, until I get a working setup to paint digital again, I'll share some of the watercolours in the meantime

Very lovely colours and composition, I like the way you used thick, bold and smooth brushstrokes and layered them.

And you don't know how much I agree on the "actual colours" part... it's such a satisfying feeling to pull a brush over an actual piece of paper, mix the colours, add water, it's just a feast for your senses! I was in exactly the same spot like you when I started with watercolours last year, digital had just lost all it's flavour to me personally, it felt dull and boring. I'm glad you discovered watercolour for you, I'm sure we'll see some more pretty damn amazing stuff from you in the next time!

Awww, thanks so much for your kind words.
It's actually quite the practise for me to do large brushstrokes - I did so much detailed pencil-stuff, and big brushes make me think so much more about the whole space.
I guess I'll still get back to digital eventually, but for the moment I just enjoy this
