Aren't Gargoyles already a cross between humans and dragons?

Don't know, never really researched Gargoyles.

Well that is the best way to describe them for me.

So what is your hope for the next season?

Foxgearstudios In reply to bruiser128 [2016-11-15 04:09:38 +0000 UTC]

I'm hoping for more Princess Celestia and Luna, but mainly I hope Twilight doesn't get nerfed with the rise of Starlight, who I do like now. I mostly like to trust the writers and be surprised by what episodes they make.

Though I hope there isn't another leak, too much material at once really threw things out of wack and sadly both stories and art suffered as there wasn't enough time for everyone to do what they wanted before the next thing came. At least that's how I feel.

bruiser128 In reply to Foxgearstudios [2016-11-15 13:03:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah we can use an episode centered on the sisters at some point.
Although I am glad they are finally re-utilizing already established side
characters rather than create new ones.

Although I do agree there needs to be an air of mystery about the
next season, and movie especially

It is a shame they let so many characters go to waste.

I will say I am worried for the EQG movies, I like Human Twilight, but I don't want to her overshadow Sunset's role.

bruiser128 In reply to Foxgearstudios [2016-11-17 13:43:56 +0000 UTC]

Well they have fixed that with Trixie, Flim Flam, and coco. As well prevented Thorax from falling into this role as well.

Also I think Twilight and Sunset share equal importance in the films.

On a side, you what kind RWBY sumblances would best fit them?

I guess to answer in order

Very true.

I suppose you're right, I'm probably just being a bit illogical in the matter.

I guess Sunset=Light based attacks, Twilight-dark based attacks, Rarity makes diamond armor or can enhance weapons with diamonds, Strength for Applejack, that's what I got off the top of my head.

bruiser128 In reply to Foxgearstudios [2016-11-18 03:41:07 +0000 UTC]

Can't remember with that much detail.

Also it's fine you to have your own opinion.

Those work but I would go a step further by Sunset being able
to utilizing the entire spectrum of Non Ionizing Radiation  so
she can be a walking broadcaster and burn without flame(useful
against a certain bitch we know)
Twilight meanwhile fits distributing energy into people or objects.

The abilities seen in the film work fine as semblances.

Sounds fancy, I'll have to listen to the lecture on semblance again, I know its just to the cast can have super powers beyond, the normal super endurance and inhuman abilities, but I don't remember the details behind the explanation.

I suppose they could, the abilities seem to match up with the characters fairly well. Though from a writing standpoint they could be nightmare depending on what direction they take the movies.

bruiser128 In reply to Foxgearstudios [2016-11-18 04:18:11 +0000 UTC]

That sounds like a good idea for keeping in the line with the
lore set in place.

Well I figured Sunset's will learn how to utilize her semblance
after studying the science behind it if she lost her magic like
canon.

Also you have to realize that pre reform Sunset would make
for a great foil for Pyrrha in more ways than one.

Very true.

That is true. Pre Reform Sunset does foil Pyrrha very nicely. I kind of want to try and make a story about that, but that will have to be later, I'm bit tied up in the story department right now.

Not to mention the fact that I honestly saw her greatest weapon
in canon was her tongue and obvious facts. Imagine what she would
do to Weiss

Also you write fanfics?

Why thank you, that story isn't really for everyone as it can be depressing, but it was worth the time to write it.  I did a lot of research for it. Talking to veterans and the wives of Veterans and their kids to get a grasp on how it affected them.

Your very welcome. Also my mom's job is to help set up the
retirement plans for War Veterans, so I can believe the effort
in portraying the accuracy.

Well I think so, especially in a time when most veterans
and soldiers are ending up on the street.

Foxgearstudios In reply to bruiser128 [2016-11-20 04:08:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's a terrible problem, especially with all the crazy politics theses days. It seems vets are always getting shafted when they don't deserve to be.

bruiser128 In reply to Foxgearstudios [2016-11-20 04:28:15 +0000 UTC]

It's been like that since Vietnam.

bruiser128 In reply to Foxgearstudios [2016-11-20 05:03:57 +0000 UTC]

Yeah.
Although from meeting these veterans firsthand, would you
say that the argument of "Trouble readjusting to civilian life"
is accurate?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Foxgearstudios In reply to bruiser128 [2016-11-20 06:31:51 +0000 UTC]

It greatly varies, probably depending what their role in the service is. There are plenty of veterans that never fired a shot or saw combat, so I would assume their transition from active duty to civilian life is fairly stable when compared to those that say combat. But there are plenty of combat vets that adjust fine over time as well.

World War 2 vets seem to be the most adjusted all around from what I've seen.

Vietnam vets seemed to have more trouble from what my Granduncle who served then, and my coworker who also served say. Mostly because of the protesters back home when they got back.

Desert Storm I've hardly met any vets that seemed to have a problem, but that's only from my local area.

Iran to current, just going off my cousins and what they've seen and share, is most guys they know readjust fairly well, the rotating tours seem to help in most cases, but adds it's own stresses too.

I guess to sum up my thoughts and answer the question. I would say the problem may be skewed just a little beyond how many soldiers actually have a hard time adjusting, but it is still a problem for some. From a survay I saw, 72% have easy time adjusting to 27% having a hard time, so about a quarter of the troopers have a hard time adjusting if they killed someone or were injured.

From that survey my grandfather and great grandfather are in
majority since they took up the position of radio repairman, and
only saw the results of war.
