Okay okay I know what you're thinking "What the heck is this and how long have you had it?" Well in all technicality I've had this character since I first watched the movie when I was...5 I think ...It actually came out the year before I was born and my mom bought it for me as a birthday present. Needless to say The Lion King was one of my favorite disney movies at the time. Back then I would pretend that I was actually a character in my favorite movies (I say it like I don't still do it but I do Lol ) Anyways that just tells you how old this character is and since I very recently saw the actual musical production it resparked the character for me to where I actually gave it a name, a personality, and a story. And as you can tell I couldn't really capture the disney style and some things came out looking really wrong but I did my best.

The name if this character is Dayo which means "Joy arrives" her parents are Sarabi and Mufasa so she's the little sister of Simba.

Personality: Dayo is like her mother she is laid back and goes with the flow but when it comes to her family she is strong and firm.

Bio:
First Movie: Dayo was born a few days before Mufasa showed his son the pridelands that would some day be his. So that would make her about 5-6 days old when Mufasa died and Simba ran away. Essentially she had never met her father or brother and grew up under the terrible reign of her uncle, Scar.Since she grew up in a non-cub friendly environment Dayo never fully developed and some of her baby spots stayed on her fur and they would continue to follow her into adulthood. During her childhood(or would you call it cubhood?) Dayo was constantly picked on by the Hyenas and many of the lionesses took notice and started to scare off any of the creatures who came too close. When the drought finally came many of the lionesses insisted upon the pride leaving but by lion law they were bound to their king especially those who had had cubs by him (C'mon you know there had to be other lionesses who had cubs fathered by him it wasn't just Zira and I'm not going to lie I think Mheetu's father was Scar. For those of you who don't know Mheetu was originally Nala's younger brother but he was deleted from the final concept). When Nala confronted Scar about the state of their home he cornered her and demanded that she become his queen (That actually happens in the musical). So that night Nala told her mother(Sarafina) Sarabi and the other lionesses that she was leaving immediately Sarabi insisted that she take Dayo with her in fear that Scar would end up killing the cub if he got the chance. Nala accepted and in the middle of the night she and Dayo snuck away and left their home (*cue Shadowland www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA-BUl… ). Well anyways they eventually come upon the Oasis in the desert and having a chance at finding some real food Nala goes hunting leaving Dayo to hide in the bushes and take a nap from their long journey. After reuniting with Simba Nala wakes the cub and brings her out to meet her brother for the first time. At first Simba is shocked at how much the newborn he had left at home had grown so much and Dayo is also shocked that such a big and powerful looking lion is her brother but she's happy he's alive. Simba and Nala go off on their own while Dayo hangs out around Timon and Pumba. When they fall asleep that night Dayo wakes up to the familiar figure of Rafiki going through the Oasis. She follows him all the way to the small pool along with Simba (*Cue he lives in you www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GqyE7… ). Simba begins his journey back to the Pridelands and Rafiki takes Dayo back to Nala delivering the news that the king has returned. In response Nala scoops the cub up and along with Timon and Pumba they go to join him. When they arrive Simba looks over the pridelands in despair of what has become of his once beautiful home. They come closer to Pride Rock and Simba tells Nala and his young sister to rally the lionesses but when Scar attacks Sarabi, Dayo runs out to help her mother and swipes her small claws at her Uncles' leg but luckily Simba came down in time to pull her out of the way and back to their mother. When the battle ensues Sarabi hides Dayo in a small cave out of the way so she's doesn't get hurt. Afterwards when the rain begins to pour from the sky Simba reunites shortly with his family before claiming his place as king.

Second Movie: (Yes I'm counting this one) Dayo is still a cub when Simba and Nala's son Kopa ( Yes they had a son, there was a series of book that came out after the movie where he existed and he was the cub at the end of the first movie) when he later died Dayo had just become a teeenager and her training to be a hunter had begun. A year later Kiara was born and Dayo nicknamed her niece fluffball because of how chubby she was. When she entered adulthood Sarabi told her daughter that she needed to start looking for a mate and start a family of her own but Dayo wasn't ready yet and so she prolonged her search. At this time Kiara was now a rambunctious cub and the incident with Kovu occurred and tensions between the Pridelanders and the Outlanders were on the rise. Dayo didn't let it bother her though she just went on with her life without it bothering her too much and she would have have rather spent more time bonding with her niece. As Kiara grew she and Dayo became close and the young princess found herself confiding a lot in her Aunt. When the time for Kiara's first hunt came Dayo was proud of her but then the fire happened...and suddenly Kovu was coming home with them. Dayo usually didn't judge a book by it's cover but something just felt off about the dark lion and she didn't trust him. Eventually she came around to him and she enjoyed seeing her niece so happy when he was around. Then when Simba was attacked Dayo didn't understand because she no longer felt uneasy around the outlander so it made no sense to her. Kiara went after Kovu, Dayo knew because she watched her run away and decided it was best not to tell her brother and that he would find out later from Timon and Pumba anyways she knew that the two young lions needed to be away from all of the chaos. The outlanders then entered the pridelands and Dayo knew that the only one who could stop all the fighting was Kiara. Dayo easily found her niece and Kovu and told them what was going to occur and that they had to stop it before anyone got really hurt. With the help of Kiara and Kovu the outlanders became a part of the pride once again and Kovu and Kiara announced themselves as a couple to the entire kingdom.
