  Personality:
Benjamin is a high spirited, fun loving imp with endless energy and a chip on his shoulder. He tries to play the big brother role for Mordecai in a way, protecting him, following him around, annoying him. He just wants the tailor to smile and will work hard until he achieves this goal. In terms of protection, Ben is constantly worrying about Mordecai, especially every time he coughs. He’ll distress, climbing all over the linoone, checking him over inch by inch to make sure he’s okay before relaxing. He’ll mother him a lot, bringing him food, preening his fur, giving him tongue baths, anything to help, despite the irritation it causes Mordi.

Around other people, he’s rather friendly and outgoing, not afraid to completely invade personal space to say “hello”. Food and shiny things are the quickest way to this feral’s heart, as Ben will beg pathetically for them if presented with it. He loves attention, belly rubs and ear scratches are always welcomed. Good luck getting rid of Ben if you start petting him, he can and will cling to you.

:History:

It had been a rather harsh week for Mordecai. His Dedenne had been brutally eaten by a bird, orders were piling up for the summer season, and a majority of the circus children had just…disappeared. It was all so heartbreaking that the linoone barely noticed that he wasn't alone. Everywhere he walked, it felt like something was watching him, a pair of eyes hiding just behind a corner or over a tent ledge.

It was only until that night he discovered the culprit behind his paranoia.

Mordecai had been working at his desk, just like any other evening, when a ball of dust covered purple fur fell down from the air duct and onto his desk. The tailor nearly fell out of his chair in surprise, staring wide eyed at the feral. Small, dirty, skinny. But the oddest thing about this feral, was that he was wearing a very old, very familiar looking scarf, just like the one that was stolen from Mordecai only a few days prior.

Mordecai just stared with his mouth open, at a loss for words. The sableye sneezed, hopping up to his feet and dusting himself off, before turning to the linoone. It gave the biggest smile to him, an almost gleeful sound escaping its throat. Mordecai looked at him, then at the scarf around his neck, recognizing it instantly.

“Where….where did you get that?”

Every day after that, the sableye refused to leave his side, following him around, hiding in rolls of fabric, stealing thread, anything to get his attention. Mordecai would lock him out of his office, but the sableye always found another way in. Eventually it got to the point where it was less tiring just to flat out ignore the feral, allowing it to go and do whatever and wherever it pleased. As long as Mordecai could drown it out with work, he didn't care.

Extra:
   -Benjamin has very few memories of his previous life, only his name, that he has a strong connection to Mordecai, and a need to protect and care for him. He will ride around on Mordecai's shoulder
   -Benjamin chose his own name, knocking things off tables and damaging things every time Mordecai called him something else, only to stop and chirp every time "Benjamin" was mentioned.
   -Benjamin always wears his favorite red scarf.

   -Benjamin has made a nest of scrap materials and fur in Mordecai's office, sleeping there most hours of the day, preferring the dark. In this nest is also a collection of shiny things "found" around the circus.
